The Language of the First World War
Following the conference Languages and the First World War, June 2014, at the University of Antwerp and the British Library, I have been continuing research into language change during and after the period of the war.
For the present, most of the day-to-day findings will continue to be posted on the Languages and the First World War website but some postings will be migrated across to here.
Peter Doyle and I will be giving an illustrated talk at the Memorial Hall South Woodford on 6th October 2014, on the material in the book and our ongoing research. Links to be posted shortly.
The research findings presented at the 2014 conference will be presented in two books to be published by Palgrave Macmillan in the 'Languages at War' series.
